Conference Theme: Inclusion Health
Scope of Submissions:
We welcome a wide range of submissions addressing oral health and service use and social inequities among socially excluded groups like poverty, disability, social exclusion, and those with multi morbidities.
Examples include, but are not limited to:
Oral health and disability, including Special Care Dentistry, complex care, multimorbidity, frailty, and behavioural or sedation-supported pathways
Oral health inequities among people experiencing homelessness, poverty, migration, or institutional care, and other forms of structural exclusion
Barriers to equitable access — structural, economic, legal, cultural, communication, or service-level determinants of oral health
Inclusive systems and service responses, including workforce development, governance, consent and safeguarding, and models of care that improve access
Research, data, policy, and innovation that advance oral health equity within an inclusion health framework
Submission Formats:
Oral Presentation
Poster Presentation
(Five Minute Slam entries are submitted directly to local organisers)
Submission Description:
Oral presentations:
15 minutes (TBC). Shortlisted authors must present in designated scientific sessions.
Poster presentations:
Presenters must attend poster sessions at designated times.
Prize finalists: Must present their work to judges as scheduled.
Word Limit: 300 words (Objectives, Methods, Results, Conclusions).
Scope: Abstracts may include primary, secondary, quantitative, or qualitative research.
Publication: Submission of an abstract acts as authorisation for it to be published within the official Book of Abstracts (with a single DOI for the book). Selected abstracts may also be published with an agreed journal at the discretion of the editors.
General Guidance
Title: Keep the title short and focused.
Abstract Body: Structure under Objectives, Methods, Results, and Conclusions.
Accuracy: Abstracts will be published as submitted. Proofread carefully. Editors may make minor modifications for brevity, clarity, or formatting.Awards: You may enter only one award category across all IADH awards. Finalists must present their work in person. Awards will be judged on the quality and content of the final presentation.
Ethics: All abstracts must indicate whether ethical approval was required. Proof of ethics committee approval or consent documentation may be requested.
